Susan only has two known in studio appearances during the Adam era, her previous visit was on CLL #99 from February 14th 1996.

It’s been missing for over 18 years, sadly there was another lost tape but due to improper storage and age it has serious sound issues, luckily I found this VHS and we don’t need any patches, these tapes are aging fast and I need to speed this process up before it’s too late. Who knows what happens on this episode, it’s just Drew and Cypress Hill lets all listen together and find out. The missing 15 minutes have been restored, this episode has some solid calls and Nick always proves to be a great guest.

This is a new source for a long lost episode, it’s 99.9% complete and missing about 5 seconds. The tape has some warble at the start of the 2nd hour, it’s due to damage from age/mishandling and cannot be repaired. It lasts for about 30 seconds, there was no other tape to patch in. Natalie is making her 2nd of 3 known appearances on CLL, she also guested on the MTV Show.

This is a long lost episode, only 17 seconds had previously been recovered. We now have the full show without the need for patches, thank the Great Magnet! Pauly is making his first known appearance of the Adam era, it’s possible he was on promoting his sitcom in 1997 but seems unlikely. Pauly returns to the show once more during the Adam era in July of 2005. Pauly’s last confirmed appearance previous to this on CLL was in 1992 with Dave Lerman and Doug Bady, before Riki Rachtman began hosting duties, though it’s likely he came back in 1993, 1994 and or 1995 to promote one or several of his movies. Pauly is promoting his guest appearance on ‘Nash Bridges.’

This is a new export of a long lost episode, Nicholas Brendon is making his only confirmed appearance on the show, although it’s possible he was on 1 or 2 times prior, perhaps even with Alyson Hannigan for one of her appearances. This is the only episode of his to ever be recovered. Who knows what happens, as this has been missing for over 18 Years. Buffy cast members tend to be pretty solid guests across the board, such as Alyson Hannigan and Seth Green as well as James Marsters and Amber Benson who have yet to appear on CLL. The Episode is now 100% complete!

This is a new export of a long lost episode, it’s 98% complete. There were intermittent audio dropouts sometimes every 30sec, sometimes every 2-5minutes, with large gaps unaffected. Over 50 audio drop outs were removed, in most cases the audio was simply delayed, in the rest it was deleted by the satellite feed 20 years ago. Only a total of 45 seconds were lost at most, so from time to time the audio will jump ahead slightly, it’s not your phone nor mp3 player, it’s the source. The audio at the tape flip is missing along with the closing goodbye segment, roughly 3min in total are absent. Shaun is making his 3rd known and final appearance on CLL during the Adam era, he seems to have a more playful nature in this episode from a few funny comments I heard while editing, let’s all listen together and find out if this is a sleeper classic or if it explains why he never returned to the show.

This is a new export of an existing episode, it’s roughly 99% complete despite the shorter running time. Missing Dr. Drew’s “have” which gets garbled around the 35min mark. A few seconds are missing from the first call at the start of the 2nd hour while a kid is asking about another band. This is the 2nd episode with the new intro, outro and bumpers that define the show’s Radio imaging for the first half of the Anderson era. Both Dan The Automator and Prince Paul are making their only known appearances on CLL. The guests have inspired a mixed reaction among listeners, once again decide for yourself. “Backpack Rap” is discussed and there are some great calls, a real mixed bag episode.

This is a newly discovered tape for an existing episode, 15+ minutes have been restored and the episode is now 99% complete, just missing the opening minute at the top of the show. The band are making their only known appearance on the show. They stay for half of the episode and were later referred to as standoffish/slug guests. Brian from the band was even interviewed and asked about his appearance, they were trying to be engaging but unaware of the depth of Loveline, much like the band The Darkness. At least they made it through for half.

This is a new tape that now completes a previously existing partial episode, the missing 11+ minutes have been restored, Rob is making his first of 3 known appearances during the Adam Carolla era. he returns to the show for episode #1061 in 2001 and again in 2005 with Sheri Moon Zombie. Rob is fairly reserved and caller Natalie has a funny interaction with Dr. Drew.
Zombie’s first solo effort was a song titled “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn)” (1996) with Alice Cooper, which went on to receive a nomination for Best Metal Performance at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards. In 1997, he began working on his debut solo studio album, Hellbilly Deluxe, which was released in August 1998. A month later, Zombie officially disbanded White Zombie.[11] His solo album went on to sell over three million copies worldwide, and spawned three singles. He released a remix album the following year that contained songs from Hellbilly Deluxe. Zombie directed the horror film House of 1000 Corpses in 2000, though the controversial project failed to see a release until 2003. His second studio album, The Sinister Urge (2001), became his second platinum album in the United States. In 2003, Zombie released the compilation album Past, Present, & Future.
Zombie directed The Devil’s Rejects (2005), a direct sequel to his prior film House of 1000 Corpses. The project received a more positive reception than its predecessor. The album became his third to enter the top ten of the Billboard200, though saw a decrease in sales when compared to his previous releases. In 2012, Zombie released a second remix album and directed the horror film The Lords of Salem, which was released the following year. This is a new tape for an existing episode, first recovered in full back in 2008. Now with a huge audio upgrade. Perhaps the most important and sadly still relevant episode of 1999. Three Students from Columbine high school appear on the show. Alicia, Rich and Courtney are all making their only appearances on CLL. Adam keeps the show light and tells what is possibly the best version of the Take Out food order mixup story. The students walk the guys through the events of the shooting and prove to be terrific guests. This is truly a one of a kind episode.
From Wiki: The Columbine High School massacre was a school shooting that occurred on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School in Columbine,[3][4] an unincorporated area of Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. In addition to the shootings, the complex and highly planned attack involved a fire bomb to divert firefighters, propane tanks converted to bombs placed in the cafeteria, 99 explosive devices, and car bombs. The perpetrators, senior students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher. They injured 21 additional people, and three more were injured while attempting to escape the school. After exchanging gunfire with responding police officers, the pair subsequently committed suicide.[5][6]
Although their precise motives remain unclear, the personal journals of the perpetrators document that they wished their actions to rival the Oklahoma City bombing and other deadly incidents in the United States in the 1990s. The attack has been referred to by USA Today as a “suicidal attack [that was] planned as a grand—if badly implemented—terrorist bombing.”[7]

The audio has a huge upgrade, Adam freaks on Drew in a continuation from their disagreement on #1054 with Ice T, regarding Drew not being back in the studio when the show has begun. This angry outburst leads to a very awkward welcome for Meredith making her only know appearance on the radio show. Fans are split on whether Adam was in the right and Drew was being a bad host or if the opposite was true, regardless they all agree it made for great radio. I hope you enjoy this one.

While Blues Traveler is best known among fans for their improvisational live shows, the general public is most familiar with the group from their Top 40 singles “Run-Around” and “Hook“. They gained mainstream popularity after their fourth studio album four, released in 1994. Sheehan’s death and Popper’s struggle with obesityput a damper on the group’s success, and A&M dropped the band in 2002. Adam talks to Jake about drumming and learning from a musician who frequently worked with John Hiatt, they discuss Jake’s father Gary Busey and Adam’s experience filming a pilot with Gary in 1998. This episode is 100% complete, Meshell is making her 2nd known appearance on CLL during the Adam era, her previous visit to the show was on CLL #187 from June 17th 1996 with Art Alexakis. Meshell is a favorite guest of the boys and if they had been in charge of booking the show she surely would have returned, sadly this is her final appearance on CLL. Meshell is a great guest and this is a very funny episode that begins with the boys recounting their previous nights gut busting final segment where they talked about testicles being ugly. Meshell is smart, funny and adds to the show in a unique way.

Kathleen is making her 2nd known appearance on CLL during the Adam era. During her previous visit on CLL #420 from May 8th 1997 with her then partner Greg Araki who promised to cast Adam in one of his movies, which he delivered upon with Adam starring as “Mike’s Stupid Boss” in the 1999 film ‘Splendor.’ A solid episode in which Dr. Drew attempts to flex his ‘Rugrats’ knowledge, gold!
When struggling Los Angeles actor Veronica finds herself simultaneously falling in love with a sensitive writer named Abel and an air-headed drummer named Zed, she initially tries to see them both without the other finding out, and then to choose between them. When she is unable to do so, she begins openly dating them both, and the three eventually move in together, forming a unique yet functional group relationship. Veronica’s friend Mike is critical of their relationship, though she warms to the concept over time. Abel and Zed are initially antagonistic to one another but grow closer over time, eventually becoming closer to one another than either of them are to Veronica. When Veronica becomes pregnant, the relationship becomes strained and she eventually leaves both Abel and Zed for charming director Ernest, whom she agrees to marry despite not loving. At the film’s climax, Abel and Zed race across the city at Mike’s urging to stop the wedding and win her back.

This is a newly recovered lost tape replacing the existing recording, Shanna is making her first of two known appearances, she returns to the show in April of 2005 with her then husband Travis Barker and a lot of weed. Shanna seems to like Adam and gets along well, proving to be a decent guest, Dr. Bruce is in rare form and balks at the idea of another “Lightning Round.”

A last minute Toby Tape patch was able to add a missing 40 seconds back in, after the tape flip/start of the 2nd hour.

This is another classic “One Time Only” booking with the two leads of the movie ‘Outside Providence’ making their only known appearances on CLL. They both prove to be great guests, Adam is high on Vicodin and is sporting a cast on his hand. Drew really lays into Adam during this episode, some fans have described it as “an abuse victim becoming an abuser” and agree it’s a must listen episode. The callers are particularly out of it and there may be an early Miriam call or a bogus call from another “actress” about a very serious topic. Flawless Episode that could’ve used an additional hour.

This is a new export of the Boston tape, the Tobydog Tape had a horrible background shimmering noise and was skipped over, there is some warbling in the Boston tape but the fidelity is vastly superior. The episode has a rough start due to some microphone issues across the board, most listeners found the band to be surprisingly fun guests. Drew is fairly out of it during the episode, with some emergency at home or something going on distracting him. This episode is 100% complete with no missing content.

Wes and Dr. Drew have a shared history with getting lost in Amsterdam which makes for a solid story. This is the 2nd solo appearance for Wes, as of this point there are no other known Limp Bizkit appearances on Classic Loveline though Fred did end up guest co-hosting after Adam departed the show.
He gained popularity when Limp Bizkit achieved mainstream success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He formed Big Dumb Face with his brother Scott in 1998 and left Limp Bizkit in 2001 and started many side projects such as Eat the Day and The Damning Well. After rejoining Limp Bizkit in 2004, Borland founded Black Light Burns, with whom he has released three studio albums and a covers album. Limp Bizkit went on hiatus following the release of their album The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) (2005). However, the band’s original lineup reunited in 2009 and recorded their sixth studio album, Gold Cobra (2011). In 2016, Borland released his solo album Crystal Machete.
Borland is known for his sonic experimentation and elaborate visual appearance, which has included face and body paint, masks and uniforms. He has drawn album covers and created artwork for many of his music projects as well as oil paintings. Borland was voted #37 in Total Guitar‘sTop 100 Guitarists of All Time. Borland formed the label Edison Sound, which releases his own music projects.

This the only known appearance for Buckcherry during the Carolla era, they did appear on the show at least two more times after Adam left in 2006 and 2009 and they’ve also appeared on Adam Carolla’s podcast with the lead singer making reference to this very episode.

Dr. Drew tries to recall all of the WWF wrestlers who appeared on the show after he reveals about 14 years prior they had many of them on including Hulk Hogan at the height of his popularity. Thomas is making his first of two known appearances on CLL, he returns in July of 2003 to promote ‘American Wedding’ the 3rd film in the original trilogy before they did the direct to video spin offs and the 2012 reunion, the 4th movie in the original series. Thomas is a good yet reserved guest, Adam riffs on Nicole Kidman’s nudity in ‘Dead Calm’ and ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and Adam talks about the ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ EPK material he filmed with Dr. Drew for the special edition DVD released in 1999, their extensive interview and commentary was shaved down to some very short chunks for the segment.

From Wiki: The Cult are a Britishrock band formed in 1983. Before settling on their current name in January 1984, the band performed under the name Death Cult, which was an evolution of the name of lead singer Ian Astbury‘s previous band Southern Death Cult. They gained a dedicated following in the UK in the mid-1980s as a post-punk/gothic rock band, with singles such as “She Sells Sanctuary“, before breaking mainstream in the United States in the late 1980s as a hard rock band with singles such as “Love Removal Machine” and “Fire Woman“. It was also during this period that The Cult relocated to Los Angeles, California, where the band are currently based.[2][3][4]
By the early 1990s, The Cult were fraying behind the scenes due to alcohol abuse, which prompted the band to split up in 1995.[1] The band reunited in 1999 and recorded the album Beyond Good and Evil, and they reissued all of their albums in Asia and Eastern Europe in 2003 and Japan in 2004. From Wiki: American Pie is a 1999 teensex comedy film written by Adam Herz and directed by brothers Paul and Chris Weitz, in their directorial film debut. It is the first film in the American Pie theatrical series. The film was a box-office hit and spawned three direct sequels: American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003), and American Reunion (2012).[2] The film concentrates on five best friends (Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch, and Stifler) who attend East Great Falls High. With the exception of Stifler (who has already lost his virginity), the guys make a pact to lose their virginity before their high schoolgraduation. The title is borrowed from the song of the same nameand refers to a scene in the film, in which the protagonist is caught masturbating with a pie after being told that third base feels like “warm apple pie“. Writer Adam Herz has stated that the title also refers to the quest of losing one’s virginity in high school, which is as “American as apple pie.”

Reeva calls in with a criticism for Adam, some listeners think she’s out of line and wrong, other’s think she has a valid complaint and don’t like Adam’s reaction to her absurd logic and tone. Once again decide for yourself. Jenna is making her 2nd known appearance on the show, she was previously on CLL #109 from February of 1996. Adam and Drew attempt to gamble on Jenna’s past that led her to a career in adult entertainment. At this time Jenna wasn’t sharing that part of her life publicly, years later she would reveal an awful incident from her past involving rape, a football team and getting smashed in the head with a rock. Solid episode with a nice “love between the two hosts” vibe before Jenna arrives. The episode is 100% complete.

Dr. Bruce starts to breakdown during the 2nd hour, Adam even lays into him for his deteriorating performance. Fans are split with some preferring their last episode over this one and others thinking this outing was superior, once again decide for yourself. Heads up Anderson made a mistake and played the show closer instead of the break bumper for the 2nd to last break. The episode is 100% complete.

Stone was interested in film and music as a child, and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder following high school, where he met Parker. The two collaborated on various short films, and starred in a feature-length musical, titled Cannibal! The Musical (1993).

This is a new export and merging of two of the three known sources for this episode, this episode is the origin of the “blah blah blah blah blah” drop, Dr. Bruce and Adam have solid chemistry in this episode, Bruce plays a great straight man to Adam’s comedic insanity throughout the episode, there are numerous hilarious exchanges with Adam saying some unbelievable stuff. Great calls, great chemistry between the boys. The episode is 100% complete.

This is a newly discovered recording of a long lost show, missing for over 18 years. The episode is just over 70% complete, sadly missing over 30 minutes from the opening of the show. This is Anderson’s first night solo and the beginning of the Anderson Era, Adam starts it off with a bang! Hilarious and bizarre episode, Adam has a “gas night” overall a great long lost show, a very important milestone in the history of Loveline now restored, well partially. Adam goes off on ‘Thin Lizzy’ and how their song ‘Jailbreak’ sounds similar to the hit single by ‘The Living End’ that they’ve been using as a bumper for returning from commercial breaks. The episode opens with Adam discussing a run in with Fletcher from Pennywise after the most recent incident.

This is a new tape source upgrade with a single patch from the existing Tobydog tape, Seth is making his 3rd appearance during the Adam era of the show, with several episodes predating Adam and several more to come during the Adam era as well. Seth remained a semi-frequent Loveline guest throughout the later 2000’s and has some solid appearances during the Styker era as well. This is Engineer Mike’s last show, after a week of on the job training for Engineer Anderson it’s now time for Mike to move on to bigger things. This is the final episode before the “Anderson era” which would go all the way until the end of the show in 2016.
This is a newly recovered lost episode, missing for over 18 years. The episode is incomplete with only 50% contained on the tape, It’s just the 2nd hour of the show. CLL #964 and #965 are sadly lost to time, unlikely we’ll ever get to recover them.

This is a new export and merging of the two known files for this episode, Blink 182 are making their 3rd known appearance on the radio version of Loveline, though they possibly have a lost appearance or two. This is one of their all-time funniest appearances on the show, Dr. Bruce gets kind of lost in the proceedings but it’s a great episode nonetheless.

The trio has sold over thirteen million albums in the United States,[2] and over 50 million albums worldwide.[3] In 2011, The New York Times asserted, “no punk band of the 1990s has been more influential than Blink-182,” and even as the band receded after its 2005 split, “its sound and style could be heard in the muscular pop punk of Fall Out Boy or in the current wave of high-gloss Warped Tour punk bands, like All Time Low and The Maine.”[4]

Pennywise return to the show after their “soft ban” and Fletcher proceeds to get drunk in studio once again, after presenting Drew with a vomit filled trophy. The Police show up, Grenades are mentioned and chaos is the name of the game. Engineer Mike’s final night on Loveline with him training his protegee Engineer Anderson to take over, of all nights. Paula is making her only appearance on CLL, she proves to be a decent guest. CLL #956 and #957 are both still lost to time, it’s unclear if there were guests on either show.

The Jerky Boys are making their 2nd appearance of the Adam era, Chris Hardwick filled in for Adam that night in August of 1996, presumably the lost episode CLL #231 from 08/18/1996. The studio sent a limo for the guys but someone gave him the wrong directions, the guys don’t actually join the show until the 3rd segment. Caller Jesse is a standout, the fans online are of mixed opinions regarding The Jerky Boys as guests on this episode, once again decide for yourself.

Michael was previously on CLL #98 from back in February of 1996 with Neve Campbell, promoting ‘Party of Five.’ This episode was recorded the day the Dentist asked Adam if he chews tobacco and Michael participates in the show, solid episode. Judy Muller from ‘Good Morning America’ joins them for the 2nd hour, the episode is 99% complete, just missing the closing break.

The band is composed of founding members (and sisters) Martie Erwin Maguire and Emily Erwin Robison, and lead singer Natalie Maines. The band formed in 1990 in Dallas, Texas, and was originally composed of four women performing bluegrass and country music, busking and touring the bluegrass festival circuits and small venues for six years without attracting a major label. After the departure of one bandmate, the replacement of their lead singer, and a slight change in their repertoire, the Dixie Chicks soon achieved commercial success, beginning in 1998 with hit songs “There’s Your Trouble” and “Wide Open Spaces“.

Two members of the band, Adam Paskowitz and Josh Paskowitz, are members of the Doc Paskowitz family, described by the New York Times as the “First Family of Surfing.”[2]
With the single “Got You (Where I Want You)” reaching No. 5 on the Modern Rock Charts and featured in Disturbing Behavior, The Flys’ 1998 album Holiday Man album reached No. 109 on the Billboard charts. A second single, “She’s So Huge”, peaked at No. 32 on Modern Rock Charts.[3] In 2000, The Flys released their third album, Outta My Way. The album contained the single “Losin’ It”, as well as two samples from two songs by The Beach Boys from their Pet Sounds album, “Here Today” and “Caroline, No”.[4][5] The Flys touredmany times during the band’s lifespan. The band soon teamed up with actor/musicianJordan Lawson on bass. Content and quality wise this one is a gem, a true “Sleeper Classic” that many listeners miss because they aren’t fans of his music. This was recorded during Kid Rock’s rise to success, he even mentions the MTV “Wanna Be a VJ” competition, it’s very April 1999!

This is the last known recording of David Strickland aside from some phone messages sent before his suicide. This is David’s only appearance on CLL. This episode is just over 98% complete, missing the closing break and a few moments where the signal dropped out at 3 points in the episode, less than 3 minutes are missing from the show total. They prove to be solid guests, are fairly involved and flow well with the show. This is another caller heavy episode back to basics due to Dr. Bruce filling in for Dr. Drew.

Adam and Drew have the guests explain how the Health Line works and they prove to be a nice audience for Adam’s comedy later in the show. Solid episode that is reminiscent of Condom Week 1997. Adam calls Dr. Drew out for cutting off the guests mid answer and the boys critique the previous night’s guest Janeane Garofalo and her identity politics/cultural relativism that she shared on the show.

This is Janeane’s first of two appearances on CLL, after being scheduled once or twice previously and ultimately not guesting on said episodes. Janeane proves to be a solid guest, very involved with the show and seemed to genuinely enjoy the comedy and participated in it as well. Janeane dispels the notion of “alternative comedy” and Adam shares the secondhand story from Margaret Cho about the time she was drunk and wanted to sleep with him. Janeane is in studio promoting ‘Feel This Book’ and believe it or not vows to never return to the show after her next visit in 2002. Adam: “He’s as likable a rapist as we’ve spoken to.”
This is a new export of the existing Toby Tape, the only known source. Nancy is making her 2nd appearance of the Adam Carolla era and final appearance on Classic Loveline. The episode is nearly 100% complete. Nancy brings up Rodney Bingenheimer and the dedication in his honor, later in the show they briefly discuss Elvis and his career. Nancy proves to be a solid guest, promoting her new album and the show has decent calls with the guys explaining things a little more than usual. A decent primer show for new listeners.

This is the only known appearance for the band, it’s unclear if they have any prior appearances but we do know they never came back during the Adam era. This episode is 100% complete.

Adam describes this episode as having a weird energy, Dr. Drew is still in Seattle and the band are making their only appearance on the show. The episode is 100% complete, the show is missing two moments after the return to the show for the 2nd hour but they seem to have been purposely deleted by Engineer Mike. This recording also features a very rude bit of commentary from the local Arizona DJ during the 2nd song, so make sure to listen to it even if you don’t like the music.

This is the only known source for sadly incomplete episode, with just over the 1st hour of the episode and no other audio sources to use for patching. I hate it when this still happens, it’s a solid episode for the first half, Henry is making his 3rd appearance of the Adam era and possibly his 3rd appearance on the show ever, he has 4 more appearances yet to come, once in 2000, twice in 2001 and his final visit of the Adam era in 2002. He also was in studio but off mic for at least one, possibly all of Kari Wuhrer’s Loveline appearances during the Adam Carolla era. Henry is somewhat less intense in this episode than his previous appearances. Dr. Drew is in Seattle chasing nickels and Adam is holding down the fort. Dr. Drew is experiecning a delay and the guys are bleeding through his cans for part of the show, they eventually iron out the kinks and adjust their timing and Drew’s headphone volume. Adam tells the “Chinatown Pinsky Boy” story. The episode is just over 50% complete.

This episode is 100% complete, Rob is making his first of six known appearances on the show, he also has a week of guest hosting in November 2005 after Adam departed the show. Rob had at least two, possibly three bookings scheduled for 1999 before finally making it into the studio, he was previously booked for CLL #865 and CLL #880. Rob has two known appearances on MTV LL, he guested on episodes that aired on March 18th 1999 and December 7th 1999 with Eddie Griffin promoting ‘Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.’ Rob is a very complimentary and enthusiastic guest, Rob praises Adam and Drew’s book and the guys get a suggestion from a caller on finishing their mock PSA from CLL #894.

Rob is not in the studio when the show starts. Drew said he saw him earlier in the day when they were doing PI before. Adam says Rob has been booked on the show before but canceled. Drew suggest he is at Bill Maher’s house. Adam wonders why he never gets to go to parties at fellow celebrities. Engineer Mike accuses Adam of going to Home Depot with Patrick Dempsey. Apparently that was so he would stop borrowing all of Adam’s tools. Adam does say he’s gone to Kathy Griffin’s house but other than that doesn’t get to do anything with celebrities. Engineer Mike then brings up the fact that Adam was at the Grammys with The Dixie Chix a few nights ago. Adam suggests engineer Mike shuts his own mic off.
Caller Jason asks if Adam and Drew have finished their PSA from the night before. It’s not finished yet but Drew does say it include McGruff and Smokey the Bear “fisting in the woods.” Jason then has his own idea for a PSA.
Adam goes off on fans coming up to him and Drew and explaining the relationship they have.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby Tape, This episode features a bogus caller, a caller who Drew deems to young to listen let alone call in to talk about masturbation and Adam rants about PSAs with Dr. Drew, mocking McGruff the Crime Dog and the “Airline turbulence safety tips” PSA. Adam and Drew would mock these same PSAs for the next 6+ years on Loveline, to this very day in 2017 they still bring them up, that’s how truly bad these spots are. Adam and Drew attempt to create their own PSA which actually carries over into the next show for CLL #895. This show is only missing the closing break and is over 99% complete.

Adam introduces Drew as a bored certified physician. Drew asks him if he’s taking the antibiotic he’s been prescribed. Adam goes on to rant about the child proof caps on medicine bottles. He thinks there should be an “adult lid” included with bottles so single folk don’t have to mess around with the child proof ones.

A caller says he has an abrasion on his finger that has left some pink flesh exposed. Adam says he recently rented the movie Pink Flesh Exposed.
When Adam says Rob Schneider will be on the show tomorrow, Drew says he’s doing Politically Incorrect with him earlier in the day. Adam suggests Drew have him come home and entertain his kids over dinner.
Caller Chad claims to have wacked off in class but is busted for being bogus when he repeats Adam’s question.
12 year old caller Philip calls with a masturbation question. Drew tells him not to listen to the show because he’s too young.
When Adam says he didn’t start whacking off till 16, engineer Mike says he didn’t start till he was 18.
Coming back from a break, Adam says there is a new batch of PSA’s he has to listen to every night. He rants about McGruff the crime dog and yells at Drew for reading during his rant. It sounds like this is the first time Adam hears and brings up the airplane turbulence PSA.
They listen to it over the air and Adam goes off on how stupid it is. They actually plan on recording their own PSA after the show.
Adam freaks on a caller for not writing down a number that Drew read off. He also suggests the morning after pill be in gumball machines.
A kid from Cincinnati says he works at a local grocery store that Adam Drew have never heard of. He is on Ritalin and is snorting it to get high. Drew says River Phoenix died from the same sort of drug.

Molly also has at least one MTV Loveline appearance, which aired on on July 11th 2000, there may be an appearance from 1999 as well, it’s still unclear. Adam is full of amazing quotes in this one, scroll down below to read them or to copy/paste them elsewhere. Dr. Drew mentions DrDrew.com which was previously considered the first on air mention but is now uncertain with all of the newly recovered audio. Molly was definitely in Adam’s “Wheelhouse” as he proclaimed many times, so he’s in rare form entertaining her.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby Tape, the missing 40 minutes of show content has finally been restored after over 18 years, Adam rants about psychics, argues with a caller about sterilization and gets into it with a caller claiming to be a feminist. It’s a Full Moon show with a theme of angry female callers who have rants, one even has prepared statements. Considered by many to be a perfect episode, we now get to hear the full show and see if it’s even superior than previously thought, let’s all listen together and find out!
This is a newly processed variant of an old Toby tape, never before shared on LovelineTapes. The pitch was off for this episode, a slight adjustment has it much closer to the correct tone and it’s now very listenable, Adam is sick and stuffed up so he does sound different, more nasally and his vocal tone is off, so adjusting pitch was a challenge as the music and Dr. Drew’s timbre were the only reliable audio sources. This show has never been fixed nor shared online since I first recovered it almost 10 years ago. Even I do not recall what happens, let’s all listen and find out!

Miguel discusses being nominated for a Grammy and how odd it would be if he won a Grammy before his mother ever did.

Phone screener Sherry wants Adam to do his David Viscott impression, a deceased L.A area radio therapist, Adam then does a quick rendition of David.
Drew, Adam and Miguel do some old school gambling on a female caller who set Adam off with her hostility after a less than a minute, of course Miguel does not have even one dollar on him keeping the streak of guests never having money, alive.
Drew references a standout hostile female caller from the previous nights show with Tia Carerre.
Miguel really gets into the gambling and Adam gets on his case for being unable to come up with a bet.
Adam goes off on the concept of Latch Key kids and how it seems all kids are now Latch Key Kids so they have stopped using the term.
Drew shares a great story of a man being put under with curare and anesthesia however the anesthesia was never properly administered to him and he was paralyzed but wide awake the entire procedure.
Adam mentions his love for Adrian Barbeau and Dr.Drew quickly mentions the Dixie Chicks which Adam wants to blow past but Miguel gets really interested so Adam gives a brief recap of the previous nights Grammy awards and how he was Natalie Maines date even though he is seeing someone, this is well before he realized he was being pranked.
Miguel takes off after the 1:40 mark of the night, Adam and Drew finish up the show with the LBT2H(Love Between The Two Hosts).
One the last callers asks Drew if he ever smoked pot and he admits to smoking during college and then Adam goes off on how odd it is that any thing seems acceptable as long as you say you did while in college.
Drew mentions he was never a fan of pot and then Adam goes off on what drugs suit which people best and then comments that MTV’s Kennedy could use some weed to mellow out.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby Tape, Tia is making her first of two known CLL visits, she returns in December of 2002 and she may have a lost visit previous to this one, it’s unclear. She also has two MTV Loveline appearances, she guested on MTV LL 03/03/1999 and again on 02/23/2000. The show starts with Dr. Drew attempting to run the ship and Tia already in studio. Adam joins them from the back of a limo for part of the first break and then makes it to the studio in time to open the 2nd segment, Adam has a buzz on and is in rare form. Adam is fresh from accompanying Natalie Maines to the Grammy Awards and is still unaware of the prank machinations of one Jimmy Kimmel.
LLT Notes: Drew starts the show by saying he will actually read the faxes because Adam is at the Grammy awards with Natalie from Dixie Chix. This is where the infamous Dixie Chix prank came from.
Drew is looking forward to taking calls without Adam slowing everything down but all of a sudden Adam is heard talking on the phone. He calls Tia the most beautiful woman in the world and that he’s in the back of a town car on the way to the studio. Adam sounds a bit drunk. He admits to having a couple drinks but is not loaded.
Drew says he saw Adam on tv with the Dixie Chix when they won. Adam goes on to talk some more but engineer Mike hangs up on him.
Just as they go into the second call Adam enters the studio. He is wearing a tux and is upset about having to sit in Drew’s chair.
When Adam says his girlfriend may kill him for the whole Dixie Chix thing, Drew says his wife may kill him also. Adam says he wasn’t sure what to do when they won. He couldn’t hug anyone or it would look bad. When Tia asks why Natalie asked him to go, Adam says it was because she heard him talking about farting and then
fanning it up to his face.
A girl stands up for home schooled kids. She yaps on and on about meeting with other kids in a park once a week and being able to go for walks.
Adam tries to talk to her about what she does the rest of the week but she is impossible and drives him insane. Drew eventually decides to go on to the next call.
A girl who has kids talks about her husband being a 24 year old Nintendo addicted insomniac.
Drew calls bogus on a call very early into it. He goes to set up the break and Adam yells at him because he’s still sitting in the wrong chair. When they come back from they break they are in their regular chairs again.
Drew says MTV is about to start airing Loveline the tv show at 11:00 in the morning. Adam says when he was walking out of the Grammys some guy yelled “MTV sucks,” as he walked by. Adam just looked at him and said “yep.”
Tia says Adam tux doesn’t match too well. He talks about a stylist trying to get a suite ready for him but the designer sizes running small.
Producer attacks Adam for sitting next to Natalie while the other two girl’s husbands were not.
12 year old caller Ashley talks about finding porn in her 15 year old brother’s room. I swear I heard a smoke detector chirp at 35:33.
Adam makes an analogy about measuring how far away planets are and Drew ruins it.
Tia points out Adam keeps saying “Y’all.” Adam actually compliments Celine Dion’s singing and gets the “yer gay” Drew drop.
Caller Angie talks sort of like a robot. When she says her boyfriends sells real estate, Adam goes off on real estate guys just barely being above car salesmen.
Tia has to leave early but Adam tries to see what she thinks of him before she goes. She says she would go out with him if she wasn’t married but he doesn’t buy it.
Drew gives a girl a phone number to call. When he asks her to write a second one down Adam yells at him for confusing her with all the numbers. He says if they went camping, Drew would light the fire inside of the tent.
Adam asks what band is playing the bumper and calls Drew “The gayest homosexual ever,” for not knowing. This is followed by a couple OOC Drew drops.
Drew talks about an antibacterial deodorant called betadine douche. Adam yells about girls in commercials jumping around in fountains and there not being any cops around to stop them.
Adam makes fun of an overweight women’s clothing store called “The Forgotten Woman.”
Near the end of the show Adam says he’s all joked out and has had it because he’s so tired. The stupid Morrell twins laughing drop is played and it almost puts him over the edge.
As the show ends Dr. Drew says he wrote an article for T.V. guide. Adam has some really bad gas at the end and subjects Drew to the smell.

The band brings up Knott’s Berry Farm and Adam talks about bringing Tim (Teeem), his catholic brother and some of his friends to Knott’s Scary Farm 4 or 5 years ago. He said it was a horrible night, even though he didn’t stay with them but sat in a Diner and saw a movie by himself.

Caller Scott says he’s banging his twin sister. Adam calls bogus but almost takes it back after he says he’s from Bakersfield. When they ask him to repeat a number Drew told him to write down, he laughs and hangs up.
Drew takes a stab at Chumbawamba and Adam requests a good gabling call. A caller named Kenny has a strong Cincinnati accent.
Adam says you can throw up about 5 times in a van before it’s totaled while the limit in a car is just 1 time. Also 5 vomits can be traded in for one defecation.
Adam tells a good story about the show Emergency. They were shooting a scene near his middle school and Adam thought it was a regular ambulance and went to check out what was happening. He poked his head in the ambulance and saw the two guys from the tv show. He figured they were actual EMT’s. They told him to go away. A little while later her realized they were shooting the show.
They talk about Peta Wilson and her accent.
A 14 year old caller named Angel has a little girl voice with a Southern accent. They decide right away to gamble. They all put in $5 each after Adam has to talk Drew into it. Unlike most guests, the band puts in all good bets. She talks about a bunch of bizarre stuff that had happened to her and Drew acts like some of it isn’t a big deal. Adam says he’s saying that because he has money riding on it. At the end of the call she asks a great question:
Angel: What’s a bong? Adam: It’s where stoned guys keep their flowers. Angel: Huuuhhh? Adam: It’s an apparatus used for smoking marijuana. Drew: In the 70’s Adam: Don’t tell my friends that.
They go over the call and the bets to see who won. Drew tries to talk them into giving him his $5 back.
There’s some talk about girls going to the doctor with their friends. Adam doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Producer Ann chimes in and says it’s normal. Drew brings up Adam going to Jimmy’s prostate exam but Adam explains he brought a microphone so he could get something for the morning show.
Adam says a gay magazine called Lavender criticized Loveline and how Adam and Drew take calls.
A caller says he heard Adam on a radio commercial. Adam asks Drew what he thought the commercial was for but Drew didn’t hear the question because he was reading the gay magazine. It turns out Adam did a Mountain Dew radio commercial.

It’s a solid episode with a nice ‘Blondie’ cameo, Debbie leaves early as she’s “under the weather” after a recent ‘Tonight Show’ performance. Drew and Adam work out some of their relationship drama, Adam scolds the producers of ‘Talk Soup’ after he learns of the grudge they hold against him after they tried to publicly humiliate him with the teleprompter despite his borderline illiteracy. Producer Ann even gets on mic to scold Drew for bringing up off air topics as soon as the mics heat up.

This is a brand new merging of the newest acquired source with patches from the existing Toby and Kevin Taps, Rob Blake is making his 1st appearance on the show, previously he was scheduled for CLL #824 with Luc Robitaille from November of 1998, but they had to cancel last minute due to a “team meeting.’ Both Sean O’Donnell and Rob Blake are making their only know appearances on the show. This episode is 100% complete with an audio upgrade thanks to the Kevin Tape. The show is fairly quiet while the guests are there, when they leave the 2nd hour really picks up and Adam has a bit of a “Gas Night.”

Myles Berkowitz is making his only appearance on CLL promoting his movie ’20 Dates’ the episode is considered by some to be a standout episode as Adam and Drew are in rare form, others found Myles joke attempts and plugging to be annoying. The static burst at 73min in has been removed, so no need to brace yourself.

Myles Berkowitz directs and stars as himself, a man who decides to combine “the two biggest failures in my life–professional and personal” by setting out on a filmed quest to have 20 dates and come out with both a movie career and a love interest. This is an ok show. Miles plugs his movie about a million times throughout the show.
Adam announces he has diarrhea. Drew blames it on some airplane food they had a couple days ago. Drew’s gas is kicking in as well.
Adam plans on getting a C130 cargo plane to distribute the morning after pill across urban centers.
Drew mentions he listened to an interview on an airplane about movies. This gets Adam fired up about the in flight television having commercials in the first class section of the plane.
Miles says the only reason he was able to get funding for his movie was that the guy who paid for it thought it was going to end up being a porn movie he could sell in Europe.

Drew says Adam’s buddy Ray should be a guest on the show. Adam doesn’t think that would be a great idea though.
Drew asks a caller how many times an hour he thinks about sex. Adam goes off on how stupid and unanswerable that question is. He also brings up the time he was asked a similar question during his catholic big brother interview. Miles says he was rejected from the big brother program because he didn’t have a girlfriend they could talk to.
Adam explains the big brother program is split into different groups for different religions. He says they include catholic big brother, Jewish big brother and another one called Son of Satan for the atheists.
Miles apologizes for plugging his movie during a call that may not have been appropriate but Adam says it doesn’t matter.
A caller brings up girls using astrological signs. Adam mentions having dinner with Kennedy and having to talk signs. He proclaims this stuff is only for gay men and crazy women.
A caller mentions getting hepatitis A and oral polio shots. Adam says he recently rented Oral Polio.

Adam rants about the misinformation regarding ‘Animaniacs’ included in his new bio.

This is the only known recording, there was a previous Tobydog Tape that was incorrectly dated as this show and then later moved to Oct. 17th 1999, I transferred the Tobydog Tape but it’s unclear if there was a partial recording attached to it from this episode or not, This recording is 99% complete, only missing a few seconds around the 50min mark when Adam and Drew are talking about eating some burgers. A few seconds before the closing break and the closing break are also missing. This is the first time the show has been shared online, missing for 18 years. This is the CLL debut for all 3 cast members, it’s possible one of them is on a lost episode but very unlikely. Nicole was on the MTV show on Jan. 10th 1997, there are no known appearances for Andrew or Michael.

Brian is making what seems to be his radio show debut but Adam and Drew comment on how nice it was seeing him again, which could just be them referencing the MTV show, as He for sure guested on MTV Loveline which aired on April 16th 1998 and this seems to be from before Adam “robbed him of a homer” during one of the Celebrity All-Star or MTV rock and jock baseball games where that took place.

He has only 2 more appearances on the show and a surprise cameo coming up in 1999 that I won’t spoil. He also has two appearances on MTV Loveline, they aired on January 17th 1997 and December 8th 1997, mirroring his radio show appearances on Loveline from the same year.

Adam is in Miami for the 1999 Superbowl, taping a piece for ‘The Man Show’ Season 1 and Dr. Drew is far too gleeful to be rolling calls by himself, Drew does a masterful job and it does make for a very different show, a nice change of pace but not something I would want instead of ‘The Love Between The Two Hosts’ this episode is akin to 2006 LoveLine and the modern Dr. Drew Podcast, both very very good!

This is a 100% Complete brand new merging of the only two known sources, both from Arizona oddly enough. Eliel Swinton and Ron are both making their CLL debut, Eliel never returns to the show and Ron returns for two more infamous visits, first on CLL #1459 solo from May 2nd 2001 and then again on CLL #1260 with the cast of ‘Not Another Teen Movie’ for his final visit on December 13th 2001. They both prove to be enthusiastic guests and are a lot of fun, great episode that I first recovered 8 years ago.

Joe seems to be making his first known appearance, though he does say “it’s always fun” implying he has an appearance predating this one, perhaps on radio, perhaps on MTV? He has 3 more appearances, returning to the show in 2000, 2001 and his final booking in 2002, perhaps due to the double guest scheduling/mistake that found him paired with a cast member from ‘Survivor’ and he has one known appearance on MTV Loveline from March 7th 2000. Joe is promoting the final season of ‘Newsradio’ and this seems to be from before he started smoking and advocating for marijuana, which makes for an interesting snapshot of a different time in his life.
Edit: This is Joe’s 2nd of a total of five known appearances on CLL, we have now recovered his lost 1996 show and will be sharing it when possible.

Adam tells a quick story about being in New York City. Kevin and Bean had asked Adam to call in to the morning show and talk about being on Letterman. Adam agreed but he had to go into the back of the plane to call because they took the first class phone out. After he gets through and is live on the radio, an evil stewardess tells him to sit down. Adam was live on the air and argued with her. He sent her over the edge when he said “You’re standing up so how bad could it be.” Adam says he wished first class fliers should be given a badge to flash so they get first class service.
Drew mentions MTV didn’t decide to have Loveline the TV show on for another season the day before the deadline.
Adam yells at Drew for spelling out 1-888-not2late with the extra letter at the end.
Drew then asks if Adam wants him to say with out the E so it sounds like 1-888-not2lat.
Some girl complains about a comment Adam made the previous night. Joe comments on how crazy Andy Dick is.
A caller tries to compliment Adam on yelling at the stewardess but dies off halfway into it. He is an African American from Compton and Adam says he sounds too black to be black. Drew accuses him of attacking the caller and calls Adam too white.
Adam says one of two really good looking models on the plane he was on earlier that day offered to set him up with one of her model friends. He told her he had a girlfriend and walked away though.
Adam yells at Drew for doing horrible radio and not resetting a call after a break.
They gamble and Joe throws a buck down for Adam. He doesn’t keep his money in a wallet. The girl is a mess. Adam and Drew go at it for a minute. Joe goes to say something and he sounds just like Bobcat Goldthwait.
Adam yells at Drew for stepping on a joke and throws his pad at him. Adam and Joe make fun of Jenny McCarthy having a tv show on NBC that got canceled.
The Donna D’Errico intro is played and they talk about her being drunk and not being able to pronounce her name.

Rob Schneider no-showed due to a last minute Hawaiian vacation with Adam Sandler, instead we get a solid no guest show full of on and off mic snacking, Adam references “The New and Improved LoveLine” several times and who knows what else happens, lets listen and find out together.

This is another long lost episode, originally thought to be the full cast of ‘Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane’ the WB sitcom, Only Michael ends up guesting and he doesn’t stay the full show, Michael was previously on the show for CLL #777 with the cast of ‘Urban Legend’ and he doesn’t return to the show until April of 2007, after the Adam era. Who knows what happens in this one! Adam riffs about ‘Thin Lizzy’ and compares a bumper song to their music.

The episode suffered a power outage early in the show, wreaking havoc on the breaks and satellite timing, this is the 4th known appearance for Jeremy, he visits almost every January or February all the way through 2004. Jeremy has 3 more known appearances, with a total of 7. Adam talks about watching the Canadian version of ‘Cops’ and his days of dirt bike racing. A very solid episode that is among one of the hardest edits to reassemble yet.
This is the only know source for an episode I first transferred over seven years ago, it’s 100% complete. Adam has a hilarious variant on the marijuana seeds and sterility myth and they speak to a possibly bogus female caller who tries to take the show in a darker direction, similar to a future serial female bogus caller.

This is a new Lost Tape for a show previously forgotten to time, Adam Paskowitz of The Flys calls in to share a story and shock Dr. Drew, Dice joins them later in the show. There is another surprise visit later in the show as well. Amazing episode that’s been missing for 18 years. UPDATED – a lost tape was found for this show, the entire show was swapped out and replaced with this superior version on June 7th 2017, there is one under 30 sec patch from the Kevin tape, the show is now 100% Complete.
