GLL Episode 888
CLL #888 (feat. Fastball)
02/23/1999 – Tuesday Night Show
Source – Tobydog Tape (2009) with Kevin Tape (2016) Patches
This is a brand new edit of the Toby Tape with patches from the new Kevin Tape, the Kevin tape while having better audio despite the Kevin Tape Hum had static bursts throughout the show, so instead the old Toby Tape was completed using patches from the Kevin Tape. This Episode is now 100% complete. Adam’s chiding of Drew about not being in the studio and not being attentive to his duties as host are further building up. Adam, Drew and the guests all recall the 1998 Airport driver incident where Adam requested a fan to volunteer and drive him to LAX. This is the 2nd and final appearance of Fastball on CLL, they were previously on CLL #631.
From Wiki: Fastball is an American rock band that formed in Austin, Texas in 1995.[1] The band originally called themselves “Magneto U.S.A.” but changed their name after signing with Hollywood Records.[1] In 1998, their album All the Pain Money Can Buy reached platinum sales within six months of its release, and stayed on the Billboard 200 chart for a year. In addition, the group has been nominated for two Grammy Awards – Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “The Way“,[2] and Best Long Form Music Video for their promotional video “The Way”.[2] They also received five The Austin Chronicle awards: 1998’s Album of the Year, Best Video, Best Single/EP, Band of the Year, and 1995’s Best Pop Band
