This episode is now 100% complete and newly remastered, Linkin Park are making their 2nd appearance on CLL, one of the fastest rebookings in the show’s history. The band once again prove to be solid guests. The missing 10 minutes have been restored.
From Wiki: Hybrid Theory is the debut studio album by American rock band Linkin Park, released on October 24, 2000, through Warner Bros. Records. Recorded at NRG Recordings in North Hollywood, California, and produced by Don Gilmore, the album’s lyrical themes deal with problems lead vocalist Chester Bennington experienced during his adolescence, including drug abuse and the constant fighting and divorce of his parents. Hybrid Theory takes its title from the previous name of the band as well as the concept of music theory and combining different styles.
Four singles were released from Hybrid Theory: “One Step Closer“, “Crawling“, “Papercut“, and “In the End“, all of them being responsible for launching Linkin Park into mainstream popularity. While “In the End” was the most successful of the four, all of the singles in the album remain some of the band’s most successful songs to date. Although “Runaway“, “Points of Authority“, and “My December” from the special edition bonus disc album were not released as singles, they were minor hits on alternative rock radio stations thanks to the success of all of the band’s singles and the album.
In 2002, Linkin Park released the remix album Reanimation. It included the songs of Hybrid Theory remixed and reinterpreted by nu metal and underground hip hop artists.[4] Contributors to the album included Black Thought, Pharoahe Monch, Jonathan Davis, Stephen Carpenter, and Aaron Lewis. The sound of later Linkin Park albums would involve experimentation with classical instruments such as strings and piano, both of which, along with the same elements of electronica from Hybrid Theory, are prominently included in the band’s second studio album Meteora.[

He is most widely known for his debut novel House of Leaves (2000), which won the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Fiction Award.[3][4] His second novel, Only Revolutions (2006), was nominated for the National Book Award.[5]
Danielewski began work on a proposed 27-volume series, The Familiar, although he completed only 5 volumes before halting the project in 2017.
Danielewski’s work is characterized by an intricate, multi-layered typographical variation, or page layout. Sometimes known as visual writing,[6] the typographical variation corresponds directly, at any given narratological point in time, to the physical space of the events in the fictional world as well as the physical space of the page and the reader. Early on, critics characterized his writing as being ergodic literature, but recently, Danielewski, who has commented on his disappointment with criticism’s inability to properly confront his work,[7] expressed his theoretical approach to literature:
Signiconic = sign + icon. Rather than engage those textual faculties of the mind remediating the pictorial or those visual faculties remediating language, the signiconic simultaneously engages both in order to lessen the significance of both and therefore achieve a third perception no longer dependent on sign and image for remediating a world in which the mind plays no part.”

From Wiki: Emergency contraception (EC) are birth control measures that may be used after sexual intercourse to prevent pregnancy. Emergency contraception has not been shown to affect the rates of abortion within a country.[1]
There are different forms of EC. Emergency contraceptive pills (ECPs)—sometimes simply referred to as emergency contraceptives (ECs) or the morning-after pill—are medications intended to disrupt or delay ovulation or fertilization, which are necessary for pregnancy.[3][4][5] ECPs and abortion pills are not the same. ECPs work by preventing or delaying ovulation and therefore preventing pregnancy, not by abortion.[6]Intrauterine devices (IUDs)—usually used as a primary contraceptive method—are sometimes used as the most effective form of emergency contraception.[5][7] However, use of IUDs for emergency contraception is relatively rare.

From Wiki: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (informally referred to as The Bosstones) is an American ska punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1983.[1][2][3] Since the band’s inception, lead vocalist Dicky Barrett, bassist Joe Gittleman, tenor saxophonist Tim “Johnny Vegas” Burton and dancer (“Bosstone”) Ben Carr have remained constant members. The line-up also includes drummer Joe Sirois, saxophonist Leon Silva, guitarist Lawrence Katz and trombonist Chris Rhodes.
The Bosstones are often credited as one of the progenitors of the genre of ska punk and the creators of its subgenre ska-core, which mixes elements of ska with punk rock and hardcore. Starting with the release of their 1989 debut Devil’s Night Out, the band toured and recorded extensively throughout the 1990s, becoming influential in the development of the American third-wave ska scene and was one of the first bands to popularize the genre in the musical mainstream. They reached their commercial peak with their platinum-selling 1997 album Let’s Face It and its hit single “The Impression That I Get“. The band had released seven studio albums, three EPs and a live album by the time they announced a hiatus in December 2003. In 2007, the Bosstones reunited to resume recording and touring, and have since released three more studio albums.
From 1994 to 2002, and since 2007, they have hosted the annual Hometown Throwdown music festival, held annually around Christmas time in Downtown Boston.

This episode is one of the most unique in the LoveLine history, just Adam and Lisa the Psychic, it does not go well… I have not heard this episode in over a decade, I can’t wait to hear if the very awkward energy is as enjoyable as I used to find it. Another “sadly this is all we got” episode, I’ve done my best to remaster and Frankenstein the scraps back into a 100% complete episode with not the worst audio in the archive.
Another bummer audio quality episode, a mix of the newer 22khz stream recording and the older 11khz from the Fresno affiliate, one of the only known recordings from that affiliate, much like Dr. John Bakaly “The George Lazenby of LoveLine Doctors.” Simon Rex is making his first known appearance on CLL, though he could have a lost visit from before this, he does not return to the show again during the Adam Carolla era. Simon proves to be a solid and fun guest. The episode is now 100% complete and the audio has been boosted, normalized and cleaned up the most it can be when dealing with such limited information in the files due to the extreme compression and lower quality recordings. We’re lucky to even have this!
This is yet another episode without a replacement recording or enhancement, the person recording it was playing ‘Space Invaders’ or possibly someone in the studio, though it’s very unlikely. Many of the stream recordings contain noises from the soundcard of the person recording it on their computer. The noises are throughout the show and very annoying. The audio is 22khz on this one, so it’s a step up from the 16khz junk heard on CLL #1401. This Sucks! The episode is 99.9% complete, there are couple of drop outs where the ultra important game of ‘Space Invaders’ in 2001 took too much of the PC resources and overrides the recording momentarily. Josh and Jerry are both making their only appearances on CLL.
This is still the only known copy of the episode, it’s 100% complete however it’s only 16khz, it’s been upconverted, normalized and processed in an attempt to achieve greater clarity, with such a stepped on compressed recording the results are still rough, the only bright side is the lack of any static or noise, it’s just the low quality and fidelity that hinders enjoyment. It could be worse, it could be one of the 11khz recordings. This is what every episode used to sound like.

This episode features 3 XFL cheerleaders promoting the short lived alternative football league. Strange episode.
From Wiki: The original XFL was a professional American football league that played its only season in 2001. The XFL was operated as a joint venture between the World Wrestling Federation (now the WWE) and NBC. The XFL was conceived as an outdoor football league that would begin play immediately after the National Football League season ended to take advantage of lingering public desire to watch football after the NFL and college football seasons had concluded. It was promoted as having fewer rules to encourage rougher play than other major leagues. The league had eight teams in two divisions, including major markets and some not directly served by the NFL, such as Birmingham, Las Vegas, Memphis, and Orlando. The XFL operated as a single entity with all teams owned by the league, in contrast to most major professional leagues, which use a franchise model with individual owners.
Co-owner NBC served as the main carrier of XFL games, along with UPN and TNN. The presentation of XFL games featured sports entertainment elements inspired by professional wrestling, including heat and kayfabe, suggestively-dressed cheerleaders, and occasional usage of WWF personalities (such as Jesse Ventura, Jim Ross, and Jerry Lawler) as part of on-air commentary crews alongside sportscasters and veteran football players. Despite the wrestling influence, the games and their outcomes were legitimate.
The first night of play brought higher television viewership than NBC had projected, but ratings quickly nosedived. The league developed a negative reputation due to its connections to professional wrestling and the WWF, the overall quality of play, and a presentation that differed starkly from network football telecasts of the era (albeit featuring on-air innovations that would later become commonplace in football telecasts, such as aerial skycams and on-player microphones). Once, a double-overtime game caused the late-night show Saturday Night Live to be delayed until after midnight on the east coast. That prompted action afterwards to speed up play, and threats to pre-empt the conclusion of a game entirely if it did not finish by a specific time, in order to minimize disruptions to SNL, a creation of Dick Ebersol, one of the co-founders of the XFL.
NBC and the WWF both lost $35 million on their $100 million investment in the league’s inaugural season. Although it committed to broadcast two seasons, NBC pulled out of its broadcast contract for the XFL after the inaugural season, citing the poor viewership. While WWF owner Vince McMahon initially stated that the XFL would continue without NBC, and proposed the addition of expansion teams, unfavorable demands to the league by UPN hastened the XFL’s demise, and the league ceased operations entirely in May 2001 a month after the championship game. The Los Angeles Xtreme were the XFL’s first and only champions.[2][3] McMahon conceded that the league was a “colossal failure”.[4]
McMahon maintained control of the XFL brand after the league ceased operations: on January 25, 2018, McMahon announced that he would revive the XFL name for a new iteration of the league, set to begin play in 2020. The new XFL does not plan to utilize the same sports entertainment features associated with the original, and is being operated under a new, McMahon-controlled company separate from WWE.

This episode begins with some very out of it callers, the momentum and flow are in stark contrast to CLL #1389. Nonetheless is makes for a very interesting episode. This episode is 100% complete, all recordings are missing the phrase “just drank” after Adam says “if you” and before he says “white vinegar while speaking with a caller about urinalysis. Indicating it was cut out by Anderson, perhaps as part of his new mandate to not play drops and crack down on Adam’s comments.

Linkin Park are making their CLL debut and prove to be fantastic guests, perfectly blending with Adam’s comedy and the nature of the show. Adam loves them, Drew loves them and the audience does too. They have 5 more appearances during the Adam era and continued to return as guests well past his departure from the show. RIP Chester
Formed in 1996, Linkin Park rose to international fame with their debut studio album, Hybrid Theory (2000), which became certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[3] Their second album, Meteora (2003), continued the band’s success, topping the Billboard 200, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work.[4] Having adapted nu metal and rap metal to a radio-friendly yet densely layered style in their first two albums,[5][6] the band explored other genres on their third album, Minutes to Midnight (2007), which also topped the Billboard 200.[7]
Linkin Park continued to explore a wider variation of musical types in their fourth album, A Thousand Suns (2010), layering their music with more electronic sounds. The band’s fifth album, Living Things (2012), combined musical elements from all of their previous records. Their sixth album, The Hunting Party (2014), returned to a heavier rock sound, and their seventh album, One More Light (2017), is a more electronic and pop-oriented record.[8][9]
Linkin Park is among the best-selling bands of the 21st century and the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 70 million albums worldwide. They have won two Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards and three World Music Awards. In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth-greatest band of the music video era and the third-best of the new millennium. Billboard ranked Linkin Park No. 19 on the Best Artists of the Decade list. In 2012, the band was voted as the greatest artist of the 2000s in a Bracket Madness poll on VH1. In 2014, the band was declared as “The Biggest Rock Band in the World Right Now” by Kerrang!.
Linkin Park has been on an indefinite hiatus since longtime lead vocalist Bennington committed suicide in July 2017, and has not yet made plans to continue with a new vocalist, leaving the band’s future uncertain.

Traci is making her first appearance of the Adam era after previously guesting on the show in 1995 prior to Adam’s arrival. Traci has been labeled as a difficult or unpleasant guest, often in not such kind terms on LoveLineTapes. Once again decide for yourself, Traci is promoting her role on the series ‘First Wave.’ Adam sings ‘He Has It All’ from the Taboo II soundtrack and generally steers the conversation towards Traci’s history with the adult entertainment business despite her clear desire to permanently distance herself from her experiences and exploitation as a teenager. By 2001 she was a legit mainstream actress on a TV show, one can empathize with her frustrations with Adam who loves the industry she detests.

Dr. Drew returns from his skiing trip to a broken fax machine and a series of very heavy calls, many fans calls this “victim night” it’s unclear if any of the calls are from Miriam/Sophia.
