This episode has a major audio upgrade and is 100% complete, The Verve Pipe are making their first of two appearances during the Adam era. This episode is terrific, the band sing acapella in studio and Dr. Drew drops an interesting tidbit about studying calculus and conceptualizing reality. This is Dr. Drew’s first show back since his infamous trip to Honolulu where he met the band Rilo Kiley who had just performed in front of a less than enthusiastic crowd and would later recount with Drew on the show in 2007, post Adam.
Songs Played: “The Freshmen” and “Villains” off the album of the same name. The play a clip of Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla on Leeza, Adam did not plug the episode, they thought it was schlock, this is gold! Adam loves the band and tells them so many times. The band would return to the show with one more known appearance of the Adam era, CLL #964 from 06/09/1999.
