GLL Episode 1143

CLL #1143 (feat. David Alan Grier)

02/15/2000 Tuesday Night Show

Source – Bryce Tape (2011)

An episode I first recovered 7 years ago. Recorded off the KROQ broadcast replacing the partial recording that preceded it. Now remastered like it’s never been before, breaks restored. 100% complete. This is Episode #4 of the 18 DAG appearances on CLL during Adam’s era, there are 14 more to go. This is the first DAG ep where things really start to build in regards to the rapport and friendship among the 3 men along with DAG’s freedom to cut loose and go sick with the comedy, he lets his hands go in this one! This episode also features an ominous mention of Cuba Gooding Jr. which will payoff in about 2 years when DAG returns heartbroken and manic due to a relationship issue. Simply the best guest in Loveline history and he’s only on less than 1% of the episodes, so any complaints about him are more reflective of the very few people complaining than his performances on air.  DAG once said these visits to Loveline were among his best comedic work and now we all get to relive them and enjoy the brilliance! CLL #1142 is still missing from the archive, unclear if it was a ‘Best Of’ recording or a new episode with guest Andy Lauer making his 2nd and final appearance.
