GLL Episode 1078

CLL #1078 (feat. Oleander)

11/16/1999 Tuesday Night Show

Source – JBJ Tape (2008) with TobyDog Tape (2008) and Lost Tape (2018) Patches

This is a new export for an existing episode, it’s now nearly 100% complete just missing the opening “hey” from their return from break for the 2nd hour. Oleander are making their only appearance on CLL during the Adam Carolla era. This episode features a legendary moment, a slightly buzzed Adam fresh from an L.A. Kings game. Adam talks about recording a Loveline cutaway joke for ‘Family Guy’ that ultimately never got used, much like some later Loveline jokes with Drew and Stryker much later after Family Guy was cancelled twice and brought back. Do not miss this episode!

From Wiki: Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California, USA. Its name is derived from the poisonous flowering shrub oleander, which line the highways of Northern California. In their nine years of activity, the band released four studio albums under various record labels. Their most successful effort, 1999’s February Son, includes the hit single “Why I’m Here.” Oleander went on official hiatus after the release and promotion of their fourth album, Joyride, in 2004. The band took some time off, but reunited in 2008, and began work on their album Something Beautiful, which was released on April 16, 2013.
